Our Fixed Conveyancing Fees

Buying or selling a property can be an expensive exercise, and conveyancing is just one of the necessary expenses that come with any property transaction. If you’re planning on buying or selling your home, you should be researching for residential conveyancing quotes and deciding which solicitor is right for you.

While you may be tempted to cut costs, it’s crucial to get expert and personalised legal advice to ensure a smooth transaction from before you sign the contract up to the moment you receive your keys.

The legal costs of selling your home are generally split into two parts: the legal fees the conveyancer or solicitor charges for doing the work, and the disbursements or the associated costs your solicitor needs to pay to third parties.

While disbursements are an acceptable part of conveyancing costs, you probably think that budgeting is out of the question, because all lawyers are expensive and charge by the minute. Well, not at HomeLegal.

What To Expect From a Conveyancing Quote

Generally, legal costs reflect the complexity of the transactions, with simple transactions costing less than more complex ones. As not every property transaction is the same, dependable solicitors should talk to you about your paticular situation and quote you depending on your specific needs.

It’s also important to watch out for hidden fees. Historically, legal fees have not been as transparent as they should be, with costs such as GST disbursements and office services often not disclosed. First home buyers in particular are often hit with these unexpected costs. These costs should be fully laid out and explained to you, so you know exactly what to expect throughout the conveyancing process.

Our HomeLegal Conveyancing Quote

Although disbursements are unavoidable, as professional property solicitors we understand the importance of knowing the cost of your proposed conveyancing transaction before you engage a lawyer to assist. You don’t want unexpected surprises late in the process. To help you budget, we at HomeLegal offer FIXED PRICE conveyancing with no surprises.

At HomeLegal, we want to ensure our clients have confidence that they know the exact cost of the transaction from the outset. In order to be completely transparent about our conveyancing costs, we offer fixed fees and no-obligation conveyancing quotes.

Our conveyancing quotes will always be fully inclusive and set out any GST, disbursements and other costs to ensure that you have no surprises. With Homelegal you will have certainty from the outset.

HomeLegal’s Fixed Fees

At HomeLegal, our fixed conveyancing fees will vary depending on your needs, the type of property you are buying or selling, and the type of funding you will be using. One of our lawyers will be happy to go through your proposed transaction with you and then provide a fixed fee and conveyancing quote customised for you. They will then provide you with a formal letter of engagement confirming the agreed fee before you make any commitment.

When we provide you with our fixed fee, it will also include all of the costs that we have to pay third parties on your behalf. We calculate all the disbursements and GST that will be payable so that you have a total figure for your transaction.

Despite everyone’s best efforts, things don’t always go as planned. If unexpected circumstances occur outside of what was quoted for, you may incur additional charges. Where that happens we will make sure you know exactly what the cost will be.
