Q and A with Angelene

Why did you become a legal executive?

I did a course in the mid 80's at Manawatu Polytech was it then was. That included a course on business law which whetted the appetite. They had a notice on the wall promoting the qualification through the Law Society. I got my first job in a law office soon after and that was all the motivation I needed. I love being able to help people with the work I do. No two days are the same!

When you are not being a legal executive what do you like doing most?

Spending quality time in my garden and with my family. I also love catching up on the V8 Supercars motor racing both online and on TV, relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine.

Where is your special place in the region?

Plimmerton – it's where I met my husband for the first time.

What is your favourite shop/restaurant?

Junipers in Wellington – amazing food!

How would you describe your style of practice?

I have a good eye for detail. I try to be as thorough as I can with whatever I do.

If you had to give a first homebuyer a single piece of advice, what would it be?

Make sure you do your due diligence. Get your own LIM and get a good builder to give it a once over – those things are worth with weight in gold!

What is different about the HomeLegal service that makes it so popular?

The attention to detail, the flexibility we offer over multiple offices and the HomeLegal car.
